Cannot Dive!! Crew is on Deck??
How do you tell the crew to get off the frigg'in deck?
When I tell the game to dive, it just gives me a message that the "Crew is on the deck!"... I also just did the basic handeling tutorial and at one point it told me to dive to 50m, so I tried to, but got the same message in the tutorial. So, what am I doing wrong if the Tutorial doesn't tell me how to get these morons off the deck?? :damn: |
Are you, the captain, the moron who's on deck? :O:
You can't dive until you're belowdecks. Head into the conning tower or the control room and then give the order. |

Hi Snacko
I have been doing some tutorials, here:- http://www.filefront.com/17537632/Tr...rials v0.3.rar There are 2 so far with the first being extending the one you are doing to include all maneuvering. The second is an introduction to moving about your sub and activating stations. Hoping to do add more soon. |

"In order to submerge the sub you need to ensure that you are below decks first" it's right there in the tutorial :yep: I know because I made that tutorial! |
Ahhh yes, I am Captain Moron! :yeah: :arrgh!:
Maybe I forgot this from SH3/4. Did you have to go below deck in those sims? I may have missed that DarkWaith. There was one message that I missed and that tutorial thingy will not let you go back. At least it didn't for me when I missed that one message. Does that back button not work all the time? PS: Thx Trevally, download now.. Cheers guys!! |

Yeah, you didn't have to in SHIII. Makes sense to me, you dont see the captain going below and THEN shouting alarm! Just one more thing that bugs me about SH5.

Another example of where 'immersion' gets in the way of gameplay. It would have been nice to opt out of this mechanic.
By the way wasent it common for the Captain to be the last off the bridge? |
don't feel bad

Of course if SH5 is anything like it's predecessors then the diesel engines don't shut down until the boat is underwater, when in reality shutting off the engines and engaging the electric motors was the very first thing that happened when a dive was ordered. But nobody ever complains about that one, except me of course. |
