map updates
I've been working my way up in difficulty (GWX) and I noticed that when you turn map updates on/off it doesn't change the difficulty percentage any.
Does anyone know why? I'm probably going to turn map updates off soon, and I was looking at the difficulty settings today, and I noticed that. Also, Is it the general consensus that turning off periscope stabilization makes the periscope more wobbly than it really was? |

Go to C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\GWX3.0\data\Cfg and open the gameplay settings CFG. Alter the map update figure to what you want but ensure the summ total of all the settings =100

It doesn't bother me that it add 0% to the difficulty. I was just wondering if there was a reason why it's set like that by default?

It's not set like that by default.
I don't know why it doesn't in your setup, but Map Contact Updates does make a difference in the stock game and in most of the supermods. It doesn't for me because I use the Assisted Plotting Mod, which requires Map Contact Updates to be on. |
