Hello fellow Kaleuns

Since I noticed theres a megamod under development, ive picked up SHV again, and have recently been playing around with 100% realism(or close to), and I must say its way more fun and challenging without the map contacts nŽall.

Mod Info: Im mainly using TDW amazing UI mod and his AI mod.

As a sub/SH rookie, and SHV my first in the series ive got a few questions:

- Im having some problems calculating solutions when I cant use my watchmans "nearest visuel contact" info eg. when at periscope debth.
This is probably associated with not being able to reliably use the stadimeter (When identifying a vessel, its never seem to "pick" the correct one - and does I have to specify the proper mast height?)
Range not being the only problem by also speed, and to some degree AOB(but good "guess" and sometimes a 90approach works for the moment)

- How would one properly plot in contacts recieved from the hydrophone/other? (im having some confusion with bearings/true bearings - clarifications/other tools?)

- Is the radar functional?

- Any "easy" digestible info on sub tactics, as im for the moment seem to be a sitting duck no matter how I react, when Destroyers are within visuel contact range. (as mentioned, I am using TDWs AI mod)

Thanks in advance and tips, info and other approaches are very welcome.

IRAI can be user customizable for difficulty level wanted. See the provided documentation included with the mod.

Mast height is entered for you automatically with my UIs mod. There is nothing you have to do besides lock target, identify target, then use stadimeter to get range reading.

I have a feature in the mod that allows the navigator to help you with determining contact speed and AOB.
