Just bough SH5
 

Hi all, I bought SH5, playign for 3 days now and I am having a blast, (I had SH4 and SH3 so Im familiar with the series). I really like the new gamey aproach in this SH5, maybe with my age now, I just dont want to know or learn the proper way to make a fire solution or if my sub meet the historic specifications and other things, I just want to kill ships! but I understand of course, that the most hardcore simmers are furious by the new developer aproach. Anyway, I have been reading some post here about bugs, and there is a moral bug that everyone is complainig, but it seen that I dont have that problem or bug, every time I load a save my crew is still with the moral intact. The one thing I have noted is that planes dont attack me, at least in the short time I have playing, they are very high and dont see me. Besides that Im very happy with it.

The moral bug was fixed in patch 1.2
Do yourself a favour and at least download these 2 mods .

I will download them sober, thanks for the links, my only fear is that with the IRAI mod the game would be too difficult (I kind of agree that right now is too easy). I dont want planes killing me all over the map or a destroyer imposible to evade but I will try the mods for sure. :up:

you can tailor the difficulty levels to your liking in the mod (IRAI).

Nice to see somebody here liking the vanilla version, I'm sure your enjoyment will only be improved by the mods :yep:

Wow I really expected someone to come in and blast him for liking the 'gamey' feel of the game.

I recommend playing a while without mods, that way you know what it was like before and can go back if you dont like it.

By the way I dident see anyone mention JSGME (JonesSoft Generic Mod Enabler). Find that and learn how it works before going off and modding. It will save a lot of grief.
