Brest Transplant
 

First of all, my apologies for the title of this thread. :P Secondly, it is April 1944 and I received the radio message "The base was changed to: Brest." I only just transferred to Bergen... Am I to actually listen to this message and go there after my patrol is done?

I have read that there is a bug where such a statement can appear, but older saves gives me the same message upon the completion of loading. Saves where I did not receive such a message before.

To make things even more confusing, since June of 1940 I have been getting that silly "Your base has changed to Willhelmshaven" popup after choosing to load a save. This has never caused a problem however, and I always "spawn" at the appropriate base. BdU needs to make up their damn minds!

There's no joke other than the thread title, just a legitimate question regarding the supposed transfer to Brest from Bergen.

Given the date of the transmission, I suspect this may be some kind of coded message from BdU letting you know that the whole war effort is about to go t!ts up. :O:

Rgr that....ignore said message and teleport back at the end of your patrol, the game will/should return you to the 'appropriate' base.

I tried that, and while I was with the 11th in Bergen, they actually did move me to the 1st in Brest. Quite odd. It's as if they're expecting some sort of attack... :O:

The same thing kept happening to me while I was stationed in Penang. The first patrol out started in Penang, but the message would come in and I'd be teleported back to the 1st Flotilla after completing my patrol. I couldn't find a solution and finally gave up trying to campaign in the Indian Ocean. :-?
