SH4 - RFB_2.0 plus RSRDC and OM
 

Having just installed RFB_2.0 over a clean SH4 1.5 installation I would like to add RSCDC and OM. What exactly do I need please? And if possible where do I find what I need? I've dredged through the Forum several times but each time I become more confused than before. To date I have downloaded by not activated RSRDC_V575 and OpsMonsun_V705 but I believe I need additional patches for both these programs. From a previous SH life (!) I seem to remember a Carriers up-grade and Bugfix. Do I need those a well?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I might be wrong here but, I don't think you're supposed to run RFB at the same time as OM.:hmmm: Did it say that you could in the download section? If it did, then forget what I just said.:D

The Real Fleet Boat Manual for V1.52 states that RSRDC and OM can be used with RFB1.52 provided they are activated AFTER RFB, and if running both RSRDC and OM they should be enabled in that order. I am assuming that that also applies to RFBV2.0 in the absence of advice to the contrary.

My problem is I know both RSRDC and OM have patches and they need to be
the RFB versions of those patches and I need to know what patches and where I can find them amongst the welter of patches available here. I am anxious not to install and enable wrong patches having already had to do a complete clean re-install of SH4 up to 1.5 version.

OM is for playing a u-boat in the Atlantic. Though it can be run with US fleet boat mods, they aren't really made for each other. For one thing, SH4 doesn't provide for switching between German and American voices - it's either one or the other.

The best thing is to use Multi-SH4 to run multiple installs. That way you can have a game dedicated to running fleet boats, and another specifically set up for u-boats.
