Prepare yourself for cars of the future

In accordance with being green and efficient why not start from the material?

Now I hope people will begin to see public transportation as something that's actually preferable than looking stupid in one of those . . .

I wouldn't have suspected that either had not been for a book of exotic cars that I have. I recognize at least one of the picture, actually the face of the man driving the Carrera GT from that book :).

So I'm just lucky to have the book :O:

I'll take the porsche one:D. However if you want a true small car, then you want this:

I give you the Peel P50. One word of caution, it has NO reverse gear as Jeremy Clarkson found out to his cost on an episode of Top Gear:har:

I agree, the 2nd (Lotus?) one looks nice, but most of them look like roller skates for elephants!

Us Germans however prefer Messerschmidts :DL:

Messerschmitt with double t please.:03:

This is the luxurious version with four wheels btw.

Normally they looked like the ones here:

Reverse gears are for Sissies. The Messerschmitt Kabinenroller had it's own way of dealing with this.

Engine and transmission

The KR200 ran on a 191 cc (11.7 cu in) Fichtel & Sachs air-cooled single cylinder two-stroke engine positioned in front of the rear wheel,[6] just behind the passenger's seat.[3] The engine had two sets of contact breaker points and, to reverse, the engine was stopped and then restarted, going backwards. This was effected by pushing the key further in the ignition switch than normal, whether intentionally or not. One result of this was that the KR200's sequential, positive-stop transmission provided the car with the same four gear ratios available in reverse as in forward movement.[6]

Ah yes, public transportation. Where I live the buses don't run after 2200 hours, and don't start until 0600 hours, so anyone who works a swing or graveyard shift either has to have a car or can't keep the job.

Where I live the buses used to not run at all on Sundays. Now they do - once every hour. Fine in summer, not so much when it's snowing.

Where I live the nearest market is several miles away. Since I don't have a car I have to make several trips, on the bus, instead of just one.

Any more sage advice on the wonders of government spending?

In looking at the cars in the first post two words come to mind... 'roll over'. ;)

Aye, Photoshop CS5's content-aware scaling tool no doubt. Great tool, keeps things from looking silly when you scale something down/up.

Made this in 15sec maybe, far from perfect but shows the function of the tool well enough. Simply scaled it sideways, note the pilot's head and the number on the fuselage aren't 'squished' as would happen if you'd resize the picture using normal methods.

Nope, it's Photoshop. ;)

First post's order of photos:
Photo #1 - Look the top area around the car, there's no "motion blur" streaks like everywhere else.
Photo #2 - Look at the wall just to the left of the car, two identical shapes there. Also, just right of the car, the wall is squished.
Photo #4 - The side of the mountain just to the left of the car has identical shapes all over it
Photo #5 - The bottom left part of the wall is smudged, compare it to the bottom right.

I is done here. :O:
