I feel bad. Opinions?

Well This girl I've been sort of seeing (were not exclusive) wants me to drive an hour to her party full of people I don't know. My roommate and his buddy are going out here in town and want me to come along. The Kicker is, I am no means dating this girl yet, and she wants me to come around to a party full of her family and friends. I Don't want to disappoint her, but i really don't wanna go...It just sounds like an awkward night for me with 2 hours of driving to boot.

whats your take on my situation?

Do what makes you happy. There will be other opportunities to make this girl happy, and other times to hang out and play Bingo with her family :O:

However, if you would rather hang out with her and family than hanging out with your buddies, if that's what makes you happy, do that

Or, if it comes down to it, flip a coin :haha:

Sounds like she is interested in making this relationship more serious. So, what it comes down to is what your intentions are. If you want to take the next step forward, you should probably go, as she is clearly inviting you into her circle of friends and family. If you do not want to take it any further, then you should stay at school.

Tell her youre sick! :woot:
Mind you I did that once in very similar situation and I got dumped the following week, but (sorry if I sound like an ass) I didnt mind so much as I wasnt all that in to her.
(I was heavily under the influance when I hooked up with her int he first place)
Pretty lame of me I know :nope:

I see what you mean Takeda. Its just that I'm not so sure if the introduction to the family is so good just this early. I mean I have no problems being with her. She would be a nice girlfriend...its just I don't want to set the precedent of driving to grand rapids every weekend because she likes to go home.

Here's my take, go out with your buddies and take a lesson here from Jake Blues when your girlfriend corners you at gunpoint.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFvuj...eature=related

JAKE: Oh, please don't kill us! You know I love you, baby! I didn't mean to leave you! It wasn't my fault! Oh please don't kill us! Please! Please, don't kill us!

The Mystery Woman looks at Jake with complete disgust.

MYSTERY WOMAN
: You contemptible pig. You think you can talk your way out of this now? You betrayed me!

JAKE
: (pleading) No I didn't, honest! I ran out of gas! I had a flat tire!., I didn't have enough money for cab fare! My tux didn't come back from the cleaners! An old friend came in from out of town! Someone stole my car! There was an earthquake! A terrible flood! Locusts! It wasn't my fault! I swear to God!

Jake looks up at her and for the first time in the movie, takes off his dark glasses, revealing big, soulful, brown eyes.

The Mystery Woman begins to soften as Jake looks up at her like a puppy begging for some food. Finally she lowers the gun.

MYSTERY WOMAN
: Oh, Jake...Jake ....

Jake, in a flash, is up, his glasses back on, grabs the Mystery Woman in a passionate embrace, giving her a fabulous Clark Gable type kiss. The Mystery Woman is overcome, Jake turns quickly to Elwood.

JAKE
: Let's go.

He drops the Mystery Woman on her ass and he and Elwood tear out of the concrete tunnel.

????

If you want to drive her over to that place, do it. If you prefer to spend time with those two buddies, then don't drive her, and spend time with your buddies. If you want to stay alone, give both options a pass.

Don't make it complicated, don'T read things into things. The problem you believe to have, is no problem, but just your hyperactive imagination. If she wants something from you, she will - and should! - let you know more clearly. If she doesn't, that speaks for itself then.

hrm...food for though. she did ask this morning if i was coming or not. I told her i didn't know

Seth8530 10-31-10 06:18 PM

If ya want this to move forward ya really should go over their with her. Girls dont ofter "just invite" some guy over to their familys place. It means she has a rather high opinion of you and might even be hurt if ya dont come.

what Takeda wrote..exactly :DL minus staying at school. If you really like her then . . . .if not then . . .This is the crossroad. She will know what's your attitude in your both relationship with your answer to her invitation.

If you have to come here and ask a bunch of strangers what to do in RL.

You've answered a question fo me.

I'll tell you your real problem. You can't think for yourself.

That tells me you have no business getting involved with that girl.

Sorry, but you came here and asked. :yep:

gimpy117 10-31-10 07:28 PM

thanks firewall?

and I had already made up my mind. driving 2 hours on a Sunday night was not appealing to me. I wan't to be with a girl...not on her leash.

Gerald 10-31-10 07:36 PM

Take it easy for a while, and focused on what you most want to do, so you get enough distance to everything, until you find the kernel, you have the answer.

If you feel bad then you already know what you should do, or your Catholic.
