At no time was the capability of the US to launch these missiles compromised. When it comes to Nuclear Release Authority, there are redundant systems and redundant to the redundant systems. Then there are the back up systems and the back up back up systems.
General LeMay set up a good system. Nothing in the SIOP can have a single point of failure... or even two points of failure. :yep: |
Failing that, i'd wager the base Civil Engineering would have things back up and running in no time.
