This case really should never have been brought IMHO.

What the...?

People get killed in firefights, no matter what side they're on.
They think the Taliban aren't going to fire on a civi if they have to, those guys blow themselfs up so I don't think they're going to care.

It's war expect casualties

So I guess the idea here is Civis make great meat shields.

What a mess.....this will do more damage to morale than the Taliban could ever hope to achieve :nope:

The Taliban will be wondering what happened.

I'm really cheesed off about this :damn:
I wish that the guys in charge of this whole thing would remeber the thing between their ears is their brain.

and now the wankers in Canberra want to debate whether we should be there at all: http://www.smh.com.au/national/nine-...ml?autostart=1

Part of the reason why the court case had to be done was if the government didn't do it, then the international courts get to have a go.
I think they will get off, they were under fire and responded without being excessive. Then enemy used human shields, which the troops didn't know were there.

As for the debate, what a waste! They should be the one in the dock, not the troops! If the opposition says we shouldn't be there, they should be in front of a firing squad by the end of the day! They were the ones who committed us to the war in the first place. As for the greens, they never visited the troops on the ground, so they have no right to protest!

Well it was the greens and the Independant Wilke that brought the debate onto the radar. It is a waste and both major parties appear to have us committed for some time to come: http://www.smh.com.au/national/afgha...ml?autostart=1
