how to get the medals
 

For instance, I chose the sink 50,000 tons patrol. I've done it twice and sank a total of 62,000 tons and still no medal. Do I have to sink 50,000 tons in ONE patrol?

Strange you usually get the Iron Cross 1st Class for that.

strange ..... im now in 1942 and i have:

4 iron cross's 1st class

7 iron cross's 2nd class

4 uboat war badge's

2 uboat combat clasp's

ships sunk: 242
warships: 61
merchent: 181
total tonnage: 1468497
aircraft destroyed: 2

I don't about the game, but a Ritterkreuz was given for 100,000 tons and the Oak Leaves added for 200,000. Most were awarded for lesser confirmed tonnage due to overclaims. Some were awarded for lesser tonnage when a capital ship was sunk, or in difficult theaters like Norway and the Medeterranean.
