Deeper Depth Gauge

I have modded my boat to crash dive to 300m+ and love the stealth it provides. I noticed a problem though, I have crash dive set to 350m . But I can only set the depth manually to 260m or press C and get to 350m , but no where in between.

I noticed the XXI has a gauge in the command room that reads 450 or so.

How can I use that gauge on my mini controls on the bottom to manually set depth deeper than 260.

Just guessing here.
The guages have a kind of scale that controls what they show.
Say from 0 to 180 is a base line.
To go higher the 180 would need changed to a higher value.
It's in the .sim files most likely.

I remember that long long ago ( a lot of years ago) there was a mod made by CaptainAmerica that changed the depth gauge. However i do not remember if it was for every submarine or only the type XXi.

Yea the gauge inside the command room of the xxi goes to 450 or something like that. I want THAT guage on my mini controls at the bottom of the screen so I can set depth between 0 - 450m and everything in between.

I think you can use the 'dive' key and 'level' key ('d' and 'a' in stock, I think) to go deeper.

If you want to have a dial, you have to go to the sim files and the dials.cfg. There the relations between degrees in the dial and the 'real' values are defined. However, be careful that the graphic is still correct afterwards. I.e., without changing the graphics you can only set it to maybe 310m or so. If you want more you need a new graphic.

Look for Thomsen's depth dial mod. You can see it there how it works.

Edit: Here's the thread.

Thank you very much bro. Exactly what I was looking for! I think I can create a new dial (gauge) myself. Your great help my friend!
