Congress breaks up with Stephen Colbert
He mocked the Democrats and made a mockery of congress in general. Invited by a Democrat and given a way out by the chairman of the comittee Colbert continued.
I think this was the death nell of Democratic control of the congress. I hope they enjoy the humor. http://blog.timesunion.com/hottopics...09/colbert.jpg http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/...entry_id=73522 |
it's funny how republicans continue to think that Colbert and his show are republican.

"colbert" in french is pronounced "colbair", i.e. with a silent T.
I presumed that is the effect he is trying for since he pronounces it in the french manner. |
Uhhh
did you actually WATCH his "testimony"? he came down on the Democrats pretty hard a couple of times. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDOZPvNlsXk pay special attention to the 4:41 mark to see just how much they care to listen to him.... or anyone for that matter. |

The whole affair is no less ridiculous than the MLB steroid hearings in 2005 and 2006. The only difference is that those hearings were supposed to be serious.

I'm not a big colbert fan... i dont even have Comedy Central. I was a fan of Jon Stewart when his humor was more "late night" action show jon kind of stuff. but i have to tell you. i thought this whole Colbert testimony before congress was the biggest waste of time. Why would they even have invited this guy to testify? whats next? Carrot Top? |
