Background:
It is January 1st 1700, the 18th Century has just begun. The English Parliament has gathered for a meeting arranged by King Edward the 3rd. The members are gossiping about what the king could possibly want when King Edward III bursts through the doors and strides over to the speaking podium. A hush falls amongst those present.

"GENTLEMEN! England has sat idly for many a year. But no longer!
I propose a plan that will bring the world under our mighty rule! We shall be the fiercest nation in existence! With our powerful navy we shall dominate the seas! We will build our power at home, while destroying minor nations abroad! With time, we shall take over Europe and desecrate those vile French!

Our first course of action is to wipe out the pirates in the Caribbean, whille spreading our territories in America. We shall also get a foothold in India!

God willing this world shall be ours!"

And with that the parliament burst into applause.

Chapter 1: The Beginning 1700-1702

April 14th, 1700.
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...7-56-01-34.jpg

General John Churchill sat in his office, rereading the letter from parliament for the umpteenth time. He was supposed to lead this ragtag group of soldiers, and take over territory in India. The king could of bloody well given him better soldiers he thought to himself. Ah well, he was getting on in life, and what better way to die than in the service of his majesty. There was a knock at the door.

"Come in."

Captain Irving Evans, one of the few officers given to the General, walks into the room, and salutes the general.

"At ease, Captain Evans, are the men ready?" he inquires.

"Sir, Yes, the men have all boarded the ships and we have loaded all necessary supplies, we are just waiting for your okay. Sir, if I may ask where are we heading?"

"India!" He exclaims while pointing at the rather large map on the wall.

He gives the Captain a moment to study the map.

"Now, Let's not doddle." And together they make their way down to the dock and board the ship they will take to India.

Standing on the Aft of the ship, he looks at Briton as it slowly shrinks in the distance. Will this be the last he ever see's of it?

Elsewhere in the Caribbean, Admiral John Leake is performing anti piracy patrols. And General Kevin McDowell is preparing troops to attack pirate bases in the area.

On March 3rd 1702, a daughter is born to the king, and given the name Adelaide.

In winter of 1702, General McDowell arrives in Antigua with the help of Admiral Leake, and immediately attacks the pirates in the city.

Just a suggestion, you might want to use Darth Mod.
it adds some historical corrections as like for Great Britain a colony in India
, retextured uniforms, correct flags, and more stuff like it adds Highlander & more units for Great Britain and since their latest release 6.2 the Pikemen units fight with their pikes instead that they swap to their swords.

and you can still play stock if you launch ETW normally throught steam.

I'll try this mod after I finish this campaign, as I already have the base work set up, and don't feel arsed to redo it. :haha:

Chapter 1 is up.

As a site note. I'm going to work on the resolution of the next batch of screen shots as the text seems small.

Awesome, I love reading AARs. Are you going to be allowing us to claim units? (Using the nice Unit naming feature in the game) Like I did in my two ETW AARs on the Dwarf Fortress Forums...

As long as you don't choose units I've fleshed out into character.
