Newcomer needs advice
 

Hi guys,

Ive just got my SH5 install working , no thanks to UBI Tech Support
and many thanks to SUBSIM Forums.
I would now Like to bother you for more advice.

Can someone recomend a list of mods for me , keeping in mind the
following.

-im a lomg time sh3 & 4 player well versed in JSGME and mod installs
-I allways play manual TDC but can live with the stock UI for now
-My main concern is any Bug Fix Mods
-Im not adverse to any Enviorment mods.

At this stage my main concern is getting the game up to a more
playable standard. Ive only had a few hours game play and experienced
one CTD witch prompted this post. I think my system should be able to
handle most hi quality graphic mods , specs below

gigabyte GA-MA790GP-UD4H main board
AMD Phenom X2 555 3.2Ghz Dual Core CPU
4 G ram
HD5750 1G Video , will be running 2nd card in crossfire 2 days time
WIN XP

Hi Raymond,

Im not 100% sure, but I think "NewUIs_TDC_4_0_3_ByTheDarkWraith"
should be installed before "NewUIs_TDC_4_0_3_6x_6x_7x_RAOBF_patch"

Ah... not a good reader of the instructions, me. Maybe that's why the guys are putting up pictures of goats in the sub, instead of girls. I'll swing things the way you suggest.

A word to the wise
 

Folks, I just lost my career.

I tried to adjust the mods mentioned above to correct the patch before the mod being patched. Just took those two out and put them back. Now the career save game crashes to desk top.

I can run the game, but not the saved career.

My advice, if it runs OK...leave it and play.

Always wait until you are in port before adjusting mods:up:

Some can be done at sea but ensure you are miles away from ships or land.

Raymond - did you lose all your saved games from your career?

Youve been mucking around with the files again havnt you .
