Where did my green bars go?

Several patrols ago I lost the green efficiency bars above my compartments. I uninstalled, via JSGME, the last number of mods I had installed but they have not returned. Now, I have to guess as to the efficiency of various compartments. Anybody else had this happen, and if so, is it possible to repair it without a complete uninstall and reinstall?

Longer repair times mod perhaps? I do know it came as an option to OLC Gold. Maybe you didn't notice it if you have this mod.

Yes, I do have the longer repair times mod. Perhaps that is the one. It's no great loss, certainly not enough to cause me to reinstall. I've found that with a torpedo qualified officer and few qualified PO's I can get the most efficiency; everything else seems less dependent upon qualifications, except for the hydrophone room where I always have a radio qualified man at the phones. Thanks for your reply, Pisces.

Longer Repair Times does this.
The things you gain with this mod far outweigh the loss of the bars. You get used to it after a while.

:)

I cannot believe you guys play with that mod (longer repair times)

I tried it.. AND OMG!! FORGET THAT! I have a hard enough time repairing things and flooding water as it is..

How can you survive with that mod? Is there a trick?

DOES the water still flood as normal or is that exaggerated too?

Yes, it is all balanced out. I find it much more realistic and you also actually have a chance to save your boat. The original repair model is arcade-like. Five minutes to repair a major leak, two minutes to repair a diesel engine? Yeah, right!

My green bars are back. I installed the late war sensors after I got back to port, installed a schnorkel and put out to sea again. The green bars are back.

Which probably means that you "broke" the repair mod.

So how does that give you a better chance to save the boat? I don't mind it taking hours to fix an engine.. But a leak? That's my problem with the mod.. Leaks have to be fixed "Within minutes" Does the mod allow leaks to be fixed quickly or does it flood for ever?

I am asking this, because I DO want the mod, but I don't want leaks to never get fixed..

So are you playing stock/vanilla or one of the supermods that incorporate the 'arcade-like' repair model?

I'm playing GWX Gold with other mods. It was the stock repair model that I found to be arcade-like. The longer repair times mod seems more realistic to me. Nothing in GWX is arcade, that's for sure.

I hope not! Can't tell for sure because I haven't taken any damage since I installed the late war sensors.
