Strange mutating land
I know the answer for this problem is: reinstall again, but first I will show you a very queer thing.
http://img828.imageshack.us/img828/8104/changinland.jpg There's no trick, nor editing and are the same islands, precisely the ones at the right of Taiwan. Making and testing a mission I notice in the last test (it was really the last test the mission was done :damn: ) that the controllable Kilo did not show the background noise on broadband, just the contact peaks (which obviously became very evident). Testing I saw that if I added another controllables (a 688i) the same happened. OK, so the mission became corrupted, lets do it again from scratch... wait, where's the channel? Now the island is different! :nope: Not only that, but exiting and entering again in the editor, it changed again :o So I'm curious about how is the "real one". The one on the top right is closer to reality (as closer as the game allows), but I'm not sure. I'm using LwAmi 3.10... The installation seemed correct to me qith no errors and no problems until this one. Edit: Fortunately I always have a clean 1.04 folder installed. Testing on it I saw the same issue. However, seems that the lower photo is the average... So is a game bug and not LwAmi's... or maybe is my whole install, even the clean one. Can you help me? Does this happen to anyone else? |
Did you use the same mission file or start a new one? If a new file is not exactly centered in the same spot the land can appear slightly different.

Clearly, LWAMI is taking global warming into account. :DL

I've tested in other world areas and is as you say, changes depending on position. Doing other tests I've seen the problem is that my mission is corrupted somehow, so the "mutating land" is a game issue that does not have nothing to do with my mission problem... is just I've never noticed it before. :shifty: |
Just for the papers: I've just discovered that my original mission was not corrupted, what I experienced were the comsequencies of setting seastate=0... no seastate, no background sound.
If I would just discovered it before doing again the whole mission :damn: |

See global coordinates in a file of the scenario (open by its text editor) - originally and after save mission Check up a line LATLONG 23.565401 120.644890 Can be after saved of the scenario of coordinate will change a little. For example: was 23.565401 became 23.565403 It will change a kind of islands. |
