"Shes going down" Anyway to stop it?

As the title says.. I think it would add alot to the realism if we could stop the automatic "Shes going down"

Sometimes a ship will stay afloat for hours after that message.. They really couldnt tell if the ship was going to sink or not.. Especially from 1000+ meters away..

GWX3 BTW.. THANKS

If I remember from my last sinking with GWX 3 I torpd a Merchant and she listed in the water (at 0 knots) for about 2 or 3 hours and I didnt get the she's going down until she really began to sink fast. I did have TC up waiting for her to sink though.

Don't really know but how would you know you sunk it? Taking credit for the sinkings is already quite broken since you don't get any renown for damaging ships and getting away from it automatically makes it disappear. Though I can understand the reason you would want it to stop. Not really realistic.

The "She's going down" message is the trigger/only way you know you will receive the credit/renown.

Remove it and you will be oblivious as to how successful your career is unless you access the vessels sunk screen which in many peoples opinion (certainly those who created GWX) is even less realistic.

But you could just leave the trigger where it is, but play an empty sound and not display messagebox message - couldn't you? For those seeking more realism this would do the job, unless they check their Logs regularly.

Yes you could, but the text would still be there. You can remove that as well, but then you'll get a report from the sound man that says " ".

Either way, it's better than the stock "Enemy unit destroyed!"

I rather like that feature in stock.
