[REQ] TypIIA CT interior pic

Hi gentleman's

I am finishing modeling the conning tower interior but i am missing some views angle if any one could provide me references it would speed me up greatly.

And pictures of Wilhemhaven historical and recent from original structure that might remain intact today if any. Did Wilhemhaven have locks? I am not shure on this one.

Best regards Hans,

What parte of the CT are you interested in? I don't have pictures, but I do have diagrams that show where some items (F.e. TDC, periscope wells, etc.) were placed. :hmmm:

I posted them in a thread opened by flakmonkey IIRC

Here are some pictures of Vesikko that was the prototype Type II for the German Navy. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7GW3RJHE I hope they're what you're looking for.

Hi melnibonian,

Thank for the references some angle are really good ones that i never saw before.

This will surely help me finishing the detail in CT interior.

One question confirmation that i think i know the answer but just to make sure is there any kind of Kaleun quarter in the Vesikko?

All the pictures i saw so far suggest there is no such compartement.

Best regards Hans,

Based on what I saw in Vesikko there is no such quarter. On the other hand please remember that Vesikko was built by Finland according to German plans as a prototype IIA and subsequent German-built submarines had alterations to the original design. Obviously the changes were not radical (Vesikko still looks very much like a Type IIA), but the Germans did made them and changed the original design according to their needs.

Here is the old thread where I posted some info and a diagram. Unfortunately, the scheme seems to have dissapeared :damn: will look for it in my archives :hmmm:
