GWX3 Gold
 

Greetings,

I'm back after several years absence and have reinstalled SH3. I have a clean, patched install as yet unused.
I'm trying to download the GWX3 Gold files but for the life of me I can't seem to be able to. I've downloaded the individual files three times now to a new folder but they don't show in the folder as zipped files and when I try to execute the 'exe' file the message asks what program the PC should use to open it!!

I need help.
I'm as dim as the proverbial 'Toc H Lamp' where PCs are concerned. Ideally what I would like is a CD with all the files on it.

I know that some years ago there was some kind hearted soul out there who could post a CD with the GWX2 files.

Can any one help please?

same happened to me but if you download them as a torrent they work.

The separate files on my FF account are working and the torrent links are there also.

Where do you reside?

That is strange because my torrent server is open and there are currently 17 seeders of the GWX 8 file version and 1 (me) of the full single exe version :hmmm:

Cool, GWX in the post brings a whole new meaning to "running dog"

And that's just another reason why this forum is the best out there :yep:. 1% slagging, 49% ribbing, and 50% genuine help - as opposed to another forum I dared visit recently where every valid question was getting slated and an obnoxious point to another part of the forum! (Some ArmA-related site before you ask)

I forgot to mention I've also included the SH3 Commander CFG for GWX3 file in case you use Commander (I certainly recommend you do).

Herr-Berbunch has it right when he says this is the best forum. There is never a lack of willing helpers.

I think it is the demographic of this game. It's a serious simulation, not some stupid 3D shooter garbage that appeals to the attention deficit disorder MTV generation which requires instant gratification, and right now, damn it!
