Crew Dialogues

Modders & Scripters

Is there a way to change the routine texts that appear in the officers panels?

I get tired of the same text appearing all the time. You can only tell the watch officer so many times to stop harassing the Exec. The radio man and sonar man are such dull guys too.

If the text comments could be randomized it would lend some ambiance and variety to the game and make it enjoyable to tour the boat and talk to the crew.

Not quite

Thanks, I have that mod. It is great. What I had in mind was a way for us kaleuns to insert our own.

I suppose some research with the files as they exist might reveal where the strings of text are housed.

I don't necessarily want to issue commands for sub maneuvers, but some dialogue along the lines of "That was quite a good stew we had for lunch."

It will happen. I just have to find time. I am writing WW3, a game, and moderating a WW2 game, playing SH5, and testing out the excellent automation scripts by Darkwraith and others.

It is a matter of finding where in the game files they store the strings for display in the crew dialogues.

I remember in SH3 there was a mod for the nightclub. You could put in photos and edit the dialogue, great fun.
