Please Help, SH Gold CTD's!
 

Hey guys, Im new here, and I am having a problem. I just purchased Silent Hunter Gold from Steam, installed SH4 and Uboat missions, downloaded JGSME, RFB 2.0 and the 23April patch. The game loads, but whenever I go into a Campaign mission I get a CTD after awhile, usually right when Im near an objective :damn: It sometimes happens when I come out of time compression, other times when I select the binoculars, so its never at a certain point. Hopefully someone can help me out with this, never really played a sub sim before, mostly just IL-2. Im sick of CTD's and just want to start learning this game. Here is my system specs:

Intel i7 920
Ati Radeon HD9800
Windows 7 Home Premium
8 gigs of ram
21inch Monitor

You mean a career, or a single mission?

I suppose some people must play RFB with the stock campaign, but I'd suggest trying RSRDC on top of RFB.

That is likely the problem, looking now. RFB sets the subchaser and minesweeper (IJN) to unit type 1 (from 0 and 5 in stock). This will, 100% of the time cause a CTD when one of those (quite common in stock) ships shows up.

This makes it incompatible with the stock campaign.

Run RSRDC, problem solved.
