Graphics problem? SH3 Revival

Hi,
I've been having a few probs recently, from windows installer, and 'silent hunter is closing down', to a graphics problem. Everything is going fine until I want to leave the control room and go to another part of the sub, then I get this problem. The image is broken up. All the images are made up of squares or rectangles, as if the resolution was really, really low. I've downloaded the latest driver for the card, but the problem persists. The fan for the CPU is nice and clean, no dust, and my other games run without any probs.

Any ideas please.

How about the GPU fan, for the graphics processor chip. That one does most of the work. Also, if there isn't enough cool air flowing into the case it can still get warm inside.

Hello pisces,

I gave the fan a good clean yesterday, it needed it, but it didn't solve the problem. I've also tried lowering the resolution on the nvidia control panel, which is visible on the desktop, but has no effect on the game.
My other games are running without any problem. Could it be the game?

Cheers

When you say SH is closing down, is it the game, or do you need to reboot the PC ?.
Do you have all the patches ?.
The artifacts you are describing look like a Video card problem, but if it is working OK on other games, it must be SH, try another load point while in base, if that does not fix it disable all mods and try, if it's still no good reinstall the game and see if that helps.
