Cracked.com: The History Channel
|
So true :haha: Now I usually just go with the Military Channel whenever I can.
|
Heck if you want to get down to it, there was plenty of error in WWII in HD as well.:hmmm:
|
I'll admit to watching Pawn Stars, but I also like Antiques Roadshow and there are some similarities there. Right now, I am in a kind of anti-WWII phase. I don't think there is another 6-year period in the history of man that receives more attention and scrutiny. I'm a little burnt out on it.
I also do watch Ice Road Truckers on occasion, but that's because I just despise Hugh and like to see him get in trouble. It's like he just stopped maturing after turning 14. |

Last time I watched the History Channel was about 8 years ago, a really ripping documentary on the Wilhelm Gustloff. From what I gather I ain't missed much.

To get programming that should be on the history channel, you have to set a DVR to record a combination of programs from National geographic, Discovery, and the Military Channel.
Occasionally the history channel is "on topic", ... like maybe... once a month. :shifty: Or is that, once every couple of months? :shifty: |
History International continues to be true to the history concept.
|
Back in the days when I frequented the Warships1/Navweaps boards, the History Channel showed a lot more history. This made it easy and fun to create threads about how much they got wrong this week. And we had a lot of those threads.
Maybe they got wise to us. It's hard to criticize all the mistakes in their history shows if they don't have any. |
I've never understood the concept of pay TV. Why pay for more channels of crap than you can watch when there are enough free to air channels of crap you can avoid watching by posting on Subsim?

...and I'm rapidly losing respect for Nat Geo, as they tie every problem/ show to global warming.:shifty::har: The Great whit tagging program is cool though. |

Their lineup:shifty: Hitler, the lost artwork. Hitler and his favorite meals. Hitler, the fashion designer. Hitler's top ten weapons he never used. Top ten hitler uniforms, as chosen by some Canadian historian. [queue Emery commercial how kick ass the US is] |
