As of 2000hrs 08-30-2010 Hurricane Earl cat 4. I guess this could be for braggin rights. Where when and what cat. Batten down the hatches.

I say it hits Newfoundland as a Cat 1 Sat 02:00 hrs local.

EDIT: Talking to a guy at work a few weeks ago, for years he thought Newfoundland was NewFINland...

It isn't?!?!

On topic, I say complete miss of the seaboard.

To early to predict but certainly at this point the coast will experience storm surge.

Jeez, slap him for me and ask what the heck he thought was wrong with the old one! :stare:

:O:

We have a Flood Warning down here in Miami, whether it's from the Storm Surge, or the fact that it's pouring around here. I don't know.

Hopefully Earls sister Fiona leaves us alone.

How would you tell the difference? :O:

SteamWake 08-31-10 09:23 AM

I predict dire warnings and hysteria from the 'news'.

I also predict that the storm will peak at F4 continue its bend to the north east most likely into the shipping lanes but if it does makes landfall at all it will be way up north around Maine.

The mind reels at the thought of a F4 hitting the far north east first of all they are not prepaired for such an event and the thought of all those liberals running around with their hands in the air looking for 'assistance'. Could make Katrina look like a bubble bath.

AVGWarhawk 08-31-10 09:28 AM

If a F4 hit my area (Chesapeake Bay) my home would certainly be underwater. At any rate and to be sure....FEMA is on the move already. :03:
