Wardroom update?

has anyone worked on the intereior of the sub yet? put in a wardroom where the captain and officers can sit at? and added clutter to the whole ship? like food stores and boxes and crates??? (it looks so emtpy)

I,m wondering this myself. I dont think anybody is actually working on the interieur accept the textures thought. But i think this will be possible in the future.

People are working on things for the interiours.
It's just not that simple of a process.
Many things are still in the learning stage.
We are creating new ways to trick files we know little about.

Was there a wardroom on a type VII U-boat?

I think he is jokingly referring to the bathroom(or should I say bath hole in the wall since it was tiny).

No, I think he means the table the officers sit at to eat, play cards etc. Like in Das Boot. There was alot of talk about that area being absent when SHV came out.

The thing also is most people for some reason dont find it immportant enough to fix the wardroom. Also i dont see any real changes to the intereur in less then a year or so.
But if they do i hope they make the intereur much more crampen as it is now.

The MAIN problem is the Granny format.
:nope:

Editing the existing GR2 files has only just started.
It's VERY time intensive just to change the smallest thing.

This is what you have to deal with!

In books, I've heard it referred to as just the "offices nook", or words similar to that. The term "wardroom" however, i believe is a distinctly American term when applied to submarines as I've only read of this term being applied to fleet submarines.

Similar areas, just different terminology. A good example being how on a Uboat, that optical device on the bridge for surface attacks is called a "UZO", while on a fleet boat, it's called a "TBT".

Agree. A real U boot was a warship not a cruise/luxury ship as were the american subs. It was intented to be like that, so the crew don't get to confortable and lazy. Another reason why the german war machine was so effective.

Your either trolling, or talking about something you know nothing about.

Believe it or not?
That's just a small section of a 3D mesh!
All the Verts, Texture coords, Normals, Bi-normals, and Tangents
are listed there.
The faces are in a totally different section.
:o

And you've probably just had a myocardial infraction by now.
