TMO, Max Optics 4 and inserting periscope click

I have tmo2.0 and max optics 4. my periscope turns and makes no sound. How can I add clicking as it rotates each degree. I think this may be answered somewhere, bit I cannot find it.

From TMO 1.7 FAQ's.

3.) How do i get the mechanical clicking noise back when moving the periscope or TDC horizontaly?

If you like the clicking nose, then just delete the following file from the mod:
data/menu/cfg/dials.cfg"

I hope this helps.

dials.cfg has many aspects. I think deleting the entire file would lead to problems. I assume the file you are speaking of in the one in the TMO mods file and not the SH4 data file.

Yes, uninstall the mod, delete the file from the mod, and reinstall.

If you have any other mods that modify the file, you'll have to go in and edit it manually. Compare the stock version of the file with the TMO version, and see what has been changed. That will point you to what needs to be changed in other versions.

Open the file, locate this section and remove the semi-colons on the lines in green, save the file. Restart the game and there ya' go.

If you want to disable the change for your next install of TMO, just save the file in the TMO Mod folder as well, and next time the you install TMO the mod won't steal the ticking noise from you.

I'm going to guess here that you are right clicking on the download link and chosing 'save as'.
Just left click on the link and the download will start.
Welcome aboard :DL

Yeah i should update that FAQ. Deleting the entire dials.cfg file at this point would probably be a bad idea. What JoeCorrado posted is what you want to do.
