GWX bug or feature?

I was on my 2nd patrol Prior to the war starting, and Germany had invaded Poland, but before Britain had declared war on Germany, and I come across a convoy. The Escorts start to shoot me up like the war had already started...

Bug...or feature?

If you'd sunk a (neutral) ship in the last 24 hours and there was one from that same country in the convoy then the escorts would attack you on sight; just how the game works.

K-61 08-22-10 04:21 PM

If you attack a noncombatant target that country treats you as a hostile for 24 hours of game time. What was the nationality of the ships you attacked?

Zedwardson 08-22-10 06:20 PM

Perhaps it was due to that I dived when I saw a DD right next to me out of habit. I had not fired one shot yet as the war had not started except for the polish, and it was a British convoy that attacked me.

Ended up making a decent patrol out of it, even if I was forced to watch as a plum large convoy went overhead, I went off the coast of Portugal and harvested ships to and from the rock, though i had to be careful as there was a lot of Greek Ships.

six sunk for 17000 tons, mostly small fry with the deck gun.

There are no bugs in GWX 3.
There are screwups,
Oh craps,
WTFs,
and
Where the heck did that come from/go to stuff.
But no bugs.
:har:

I beg to differ. Since installing GWX my boat has developed a cockroach infestation. This is most annoying, not to mention unsanitary.

FIREWALL 08-23-10 10:53 AM

Over zealous Brit Lt. ? :haha:

Then you Sir, are un-clean!
:timeout:
Dropping Cheese Curls about your Boat is not a GWX problem.
You probably have a messed up 'Random Damages' file in Commander.
I suggest de-selecting Cockroach infestation.
:har:

Who is General Failure and why is he reading my patrol files?

Be glad you don't have the GWX Smell-O-Vision mod. Its one of the least popular in the download section for a reason.

And don't even get me started on WB's Realistic Underpants Mod 3.1. :nope:

frau kaleun 08-24-10 08:39 PM

It's not as bad as Raptor's Optional 1WO With Itchy Augenbrauen. Once you install that it pretty much takes over the entire crew. I had to disable it and run two patrols with Aces' Funkmaat_Medic Plus Cancelled_Shore_Leave Fix enabled just to undo all the damage.

He must be one of Onkel Karl's army buddies who helps with the performance reviews. Every time I get one back, his name is written in just above Herr Admiral's signature...

General Failure,
Admiral K. Donitz

I have to say, though, the similiarities in their handwriting styles are quite striking.

Madox58 08-24-10 08:56 PM

Aces' Funkmaat_Medic Plus Cancelled_Shore_Leave Fix
is the hard way to do it.

I suggest Kpt's_Burn_the_Boat_fix.

Rather drastic, yes.
But if, like Steve the Un-clean?
You may need it.
:haha:
