Single? You're not alone

(CNN) -- There are 96 million people in the United States who have no spouse. That means 43 percent of all Americans over the age of 18 are single, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

"Single" is defined as adults who have never been married, are divorced or are widowed in the bureau's America's Families and Living Arrangements survey of 2009.

Of the singletons, 61 percent of them have never said "I do." Twenty-four percent are divorced and 15 percent are widowed.

And we call those people "the happy people". :haha:

Do you know why divorces are so expensive? Because they are worth it. :har:

Sure, you can afford to put up $ 200 million,

My wife told me that she wants a divorce because I don't take life seriously enough.

So I got on my space hopper and got the hell out of there.

Isn't alimony where you pay a woman not to live with you?

Or that could just be a hooker, probably cheaper in the long run - and less earache! :har:

Yea I think those statitistics are a little screwy.

For instance I would bet that at least 50% of pepole whom have been divorced or widowed currently have a 'partner' and are not technically 'single'.

Perhaps it's because I am young as I have been told, but I intend to never marry, quite happy dating for a while and about the 6 month point, maybe before that, go our seperate ways.Working at a law firm I have seen how messy a divorce can be.I will be damned before I go to law school, get into my career and then have to give some woman a good chunk of my money if we split up.Relationships get rather boring to me anyway. Not for me:arrgh!:

Haha, true that. Been single for... umm.. 1½ years now or so, I think and can't really say I miss anyone in my life at the moment. Tho, that'll of course change in a heartbeat if I happen to find the 'right one'. :hmmm:

Just ended a year long relationship, content to whore around once again.
