Camo disappears
 

My camo seems to up and take a vacation and sometimes reappears when I reload. What gives? Another bug?

hmmmm, never happens to me as far as i know. maybe its on your end, mods?

Stock game bug. There should be "Danevangs Paint Shop 1.0 Type VIIC Pack" somewhere around here to force camo paint. I think he made it for all sub types but I don`t know if it`s still uploaded somewhere.

How do you install those skins? Do you add the whole file via the mod enabler?

Like any other mod using jsgme. There must be walkthrough in *.txt how to install shadow maps, different conning towers etc. It 100% works.

"Installation step by step:

-To save file space, and as all the type VIIC skins share some image files, I've put those files in a seperate folder to be installed first.
You need to put BOTH the "Danevangs PS 1.0 Common VIIC Shadow Maps" folder, AND the skin you want to use, into your JSGME MOD directory, as with any other mod.

1) Install the folder named "Danevangs PS 1.0 Common VIIC Shadow Maps"

2) Find the paint scheme you wan't to apply to your u-boat. In the folder "Type VIIC" are two folders for both the standard and upgraded conning
tower. If your boat has a standard tower, the paint schemes you can use are in the "Standard Conning Tower", and in the same way with the
upgraded one.

3) Install the paint scheme of your choice, i.e. the "Danevangs PS 1.0 Type VIIC-std Blaugrau 58-1" folder, for the Blaugrau colour on a type
VIIC with the standard tower. (the "std" in the name means standard tower, and "upg"...well, you get the picture)

DONE!

(NOTE: You MUST have the default gray paint scheme applied to you boat in game for the mod to work) (as the mod changes those image files) "


Reloading a saved game usually restores the correct camo scheme though (assuming Danevangs mod is not installed of course)...

Yes, camo disappearing happens to me too, works for leaving port, gone after next reload of savegame. Mod only works for Type C Subs. Don´t have type C yet, but I hope this will work permanently after getting one.:ping:

Have the C type and still camo disappears. Even with the mod.:damn:

You simply did not install it right... Look for right conning tower, it can be confusing (mod overwrites *.dds so it can`t disappear). I never ever had problems with any edited *.dds that I forced ingame ***edit*** : not ingame, i meant through jsgme, sorry.
(I just made myself one clean VIIC skin and it never disappear)

Skins for surface vessels are sporadic too. I wish this game was finished :-?

Sometimes several reloads are required to bring back the correct camo... Works for me anyways
