There is a option in SH3 Commander to change your getting killed to surrendering instead.

I think you have to be on the surface when you 'die' though.

What? Where?

I didn't know about the option to surrender! It has never been offered to me, and I've died a thousand deaths!

Please explain. :yeah:

Do you use SH3 Commander?

Herr-Berbunch 08-17-10 08:15 AM

It happened to me the other day, the majority of my crew died so I couldn't go anywhere and I surfaced and the game ended - then offered me the chance to surrender instead of die. Didn't know if it was Commander or GWX?

Edit: just searched the GWX manual for 'surrender' and apart from the expected nations' surrenderings and a few U-boats it's not mentioned - must be Commander! :DL

Even if you blow the balast tanks and come up to the surface, all enemy ships will fire and kill you. Then after you exit the game and etc, in SH3 Commander, you have the option to change the kill in action or what appers to surrender at sea, and your personal file is up dated with infor about being captured and pow camp. But your crew still apper was "all death".
So no one can tell otherwise about your heroic storys...
