troubleshooting with IL-2 Sturmovik 1946

One of the reasons why I uninstalled the game a while back was because of this issue I was having with my flaps. On almost every aircraft, the flaps on my plane constantly drop - meaning that I have to have one hand on the "raise flaps" button constantly. Does anyone know why they do this? It is extrememly aggrivatating to be in a dogfight and have to raise my flaps every five seconds in addition to the other actions that are done in a dogfight. Any help is appreciated.

:hmmm: Now that's something I haven't heard of before, so does this happen with all the aircraft you fly? (ofcourse aircraft that have flaps at all)

the only thing I can suggest is

-have you tried mapping the flap keys to different buttons on your keyboard/Joystick to see if that solves the problem?

-Apart from your keyboard, mouse and Joystick do you hav any other 3th party controller that might cause a conflict?

Are the flaps mapped to a joystick axis ingame?

Have to be that. Or some other controller like Hunter suggested.

That or there's a glitch in his copy of the game.

In any case, can't say I've ever heard off this one before. :hmmm:

I have a router and a mic connected also.

unlikely that those would cause the problem, so have you tried to remap /re-assign the keys to different buttons to see if that fixes the flap problem?

Check if the flaps are assigned to a joystick axis at the bottom of the IL-2 key configuration thing, that's most likely the problem...
