Premature detonation

Hello again.

Being asked to attack a task force, with two king george V battleships, loads of destroyers around. I get within 4600M of the first one (I'm only firing at one).

My torpedoes are as follows:
tube 1 T1 g7a
tube 2 T3 g7e
tube 3 T3 g7e
tube 4 T11 Zaunkönig II

Each time I launch all 4 torpedoes, no matter how many times, the first three explode within 500M of being fired. The T1 often gets a bit further than the T3s, and the T11 gets to the target, but not enough damage to sink it.

Any ideas?

:hmmm: If you don't want realistic torpedoes, de-select the option.

:damn: Is it early in the war?
:damn: Are you using magnetic exploders?
:damn: Are the seas rough?

Torpedo defects were more common in the early war. All navies that used them had problems with their magnetic exploders, premature detonation being the classic one modeled in the game. It occurs most often in rough seas.

Yeah the seas are rough. It's April 1944 though, so not so early in the war. Maybe I'll use contact detonator though, thanks for the tip.

My doctor told me to have a glass of wine and try later.

My doctor asked me if I suffer from Premature Ejaculation.

I replied, I don't but my wife does.

<rimshot>

I will be here all week. Be sure to tip the veal and try the waitress.

Wax your torpedo before loading into the tube and you'll be fine.http://smileydatabase.com/s/533.gif
