U boat schematic help.

Hi hunters.

in my continuing search for a u boat picture/schematic i have been told by by those in the know - that to have a picture of the size i want ie; 3feet by 2feet i would need to buy an original digital schematic of a u boat and then get it enlarged to the size i want. i have searched the net and come close a few times but can not find a web site or outlet that does such things.

i would like a type vii schematic - framed on the wall large enough to appreciate its beauty. im wondering if any enthusiasts out here in subsim could help me. i have actually got a 'photo' of a type vii schematic but getting it enlarged has proved impossible because of picture resolution.

many thanks

i have a couple of .jpg type 7 schematic pics, they're white on black, about 5mb each and come in at 8256X3000 resolution some a little smaller.
is this big enough?

i also have a IXd2 (very nice one) and one of a XXI and a XXIII

i'm sure i have more knocking around

yup, just came accross an absolute buttload of zipped pics 38mb total zipped size and there are a good few different tech diagrames, plan diagrams and even scans of original documents.

I don't know if the quality is as you like it to be, but this is the best I can do. I found it a couple of years ago through a link posted here. No clue however were from exactly.

Pisces, these look very interesting, i have downloaded them and will try them too, many thanks.

i think those in the know said i need to get an original copy - digital schematic thingy. i know nothing about this stuff. the problem they said would be trying to get the image enlarged to the size i need and they thought a jpeg would not be good enough - low res. but i will take these images from you both onto a memory stick and give them a try. thanks again for the quick responce.

if i am succesful i will let you know

Guten Tag, Meine Herren,

I'm not sure if those diagrams above are the same as these, but here's a link, if you're curious:

http://www.uboatarchive.net/U-570GeneralPlan.htm

That site also contains this page with even more internal schematics for the Fanatiker:

Mach's gut!
