Who said theres not enough interior pictures for a modern sub?

Hi all. Ive read here somewhere that interior pictures are hard to get for modern subs. Well I found some. Here's the site but don't read the comments. It's a good site but the people there :dead:

Anyway http://englishrussia.com/index.php/2...est-submarine/

Hope someone will find a good use for this. The quality isn't the best but it's still quite cool to see the sub.

I feel like I've been exposed to radiation just by looking at the inside. The Russians kept things Spartan.

I remember seeing these pictures before. Not bad. Now what I would really like to see is an unclassified hull plan of a Sturgeon class boat.:yeah:

Nice pics, bit of a rust bucket that sub. :)

Holy ****!!! this is Outer Heaven? Ocelots sub? Murmansk I think..

I fell in love with the sub, just until I saw all that green paint and horrible rust.
As for the plans... well I definitely can't find them lol.

http://www.worldaffairsboard.com/nav...ver-built.html Here is something more about it. There is a small sketch of it at the bottom.

Sorry if I'm spoiling the s******ing, but the sub is rusty because it's more or less decommissioned and is sitting alongside waiting to be broken up. Russia doesn't have anywhere near the facilities to cope with the huge number of disused reactors and hulls needing disposal - even the SRP programme in the US currently has a ten year backlog.

Don't forget that they also had a series of the B-413 "Foxtrot" class

This is very true. Have look at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard on Google Earth.:yep:

It would be nice to see a cleaned and decontaminated nuke sub set aside as a tourist attraction. I would like to see one along side an old flleet submarine.

There are a few. Nautilus in Conn. HMS Courageous in Devenport UK, Redoutable in Cherburg France and Inflexible somewhere else in France.
