How to make playable mods
 
Hi Folks does anyone have any information on how to create playable mods like ships/subs as i would like to have a go at this .....buz:)

Probably should ask this in the modding sub-forum.

But if you want to make ships yourself, i dont think its "Make boat model is program XXBCN->put in game." I think you have to make the files for it too. It dosn't look that hard, till you see what you have to do.

But thats comeing from someone that cant make a mod himself so...yea.

If I wanted to start making mods, the first thing I'd do is learn about the programming language that the game is written in. I started teaching myself some scripting and programming languages years ago but, never did anything with them so I've forgotten most of what I learned. I can still do HTML, XHTML and CSS though. Javascript and Java programming I'd have to relearn/refresh all over again.

Well the first thing you need to figure out is what you want to mod. Once you can answer that then you can be pointed in the right direction.

The first thing you need to do is learn how to dance "boom shaka laka", then you need to pray to all mighty Bill Gaits. The final part is learn how to use search function. Follow this steps and you all set. Anything else?
