First Convoy Attack
On my 2nd patrol found medium-sized convoy off the coast of England and sent all but one of my torps. Sunk one and a few got crippled. My deck guns did the rest as the convoy didn't hanve any escorts. Destroyed 4 ships. Before I met the convoy I sank 3 other ships but had to refit at Wilhelmshaven. I guess not so bad for a flight sim junkie.:D

YEEEEHAAAW!!! Well I know I have problems with SH 5 but not so much now. I found I couldn't end my patrol since whenever I tried to dock it's greyed out. So, I decided to refit and head out through the Straits of Dover. With heavy fog and some rough waves I went on. Met up with a cargo ship and sank it. Then the rest was boring. Until I decided to head back the exact same route to home when out of the fog a large enemy task force consisting of a Carrier and some destroyers were directly in front coming at high speed! I had not much time. I salvoed my 4 torps and hit the emergency dive but ended up hitting the carrier damaging my periscope and radio. As I floated down damaged I heard the reports. Torpedo contact 3 times. Apparently the Carrier burst into flames when one torp and then my sub hit it. I got 2 destryers and a badly damaged carrier. When the destroyers left I surfaced and tried to finish off the carrier with the deck gun. Fat chance! It attracted a destroyer and now I'm submered and trying to get away. WHEW!! I had to save the game.:D

Bursting 2 destroyers and a carrier with four topedoes -solution less that said- is quite impressive... or hard to eat ! :hmmm:

The carrier didn't sink. Got damaged that's all.

YEEEHAWWW! Found myself in the middle of a large, unescorted convoy, sank 8 Merchants and became an Ace 26 ships sunk (4 DDs and 22 Merchants). Got a new, faster Type VIIB boat with twin defensive guns.:DL
