NK threatens "retaliatory sacred war"

So, what does everybody make of this? Military exercises start on Sunday. China seems concerned enough that they advise restraint.

Not unusual. North Korea's standard operating procedure = yell as loudly as possible until you have the world's attention, then demand concessions. They don't have anything else going for them, really.

Castout 07-24-10 12:33 AM

There's no need to panic they don't even have enough warheads to destroy a quarter of the entire world

[it's a joke and if you didn't find yourself laughing or at least grinning at that you're not a cool person LoL]

China not going to let that trumped up little git start anything, I would not be surprised if China had a hit squad on stand by.

Betonov 07-24-10 05:05 AM

China's not going to risk fallout and loosing entire markets because of some angry neighbour. Tis dollars and euros that form blocks today, not ideologies

nk threatens all the time, so this news is no news at all, just another confirmation in a long list of such confirmations that nk runs business as usual. The pimple on the backside of my right shoulder that was killing my sleep this night, had higher infomation value than this.

"The more desperately the US imperialists brandish their nukes and the more zealously their lackeys follow them, the more rapidly the DPRK's nuclear deterrence will be bolstered up ... and the more remote the prospect for the denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula will be become,"

Wasn't there something about Lindsey Lohan in the news also?

They will physically punch our ships and split them in two!

Great! Now I got to tell my 9yr old daughter I'm not the cool person she thinks I am.:) I didn't want to come across as somebody overly concerned about this. I noticed the stock markets have not been unduly affected by the sinking of the South Korean ship or the eventual realization that it was sunk by the North Koreans. Strange as the markets are more sensitive then usual for anything that could cause uncertainty in the future. Pretty good indication that they've heard it all before and are discounting it. Still, I have to wonder at how irrational the "anointed ones" behavior is and seems to be getting worse.
