Why do?

Lets do a Why do thread,
Heres mine:

Why do all beautiful women think they're fat?

Lord_magerius 07-21-10 11:00 PM

Because the pressures of modern society govern their thoughts and views about themselves and create an unhealthy obsession with their own weight...

Why does it hurt like hell when I pluck my nose hair? :O:

Because God hates you.:DL

Why do so many fat women think they're beautiful? I just stopped by the store on my way home and there was at least a baker's dozen worth of muffintops in there.

Sadly, that was exactly what I was looking for, and I just realized it. I'm going to quote you, brb :salute:

Here's mine:

Why everytime a girl is really cute, she always feel the need to change her haircut or style into something really ugly... :06::hmmm::nope:

Why do people value themselves and everybody else on of how much money they're making or stealing?

Why do people only able to feel good or superior after being able to put others down? Is it an inferiority complex?

Why so many men are attached to their ego with everything they do?

Why choose lust instead of love? Is it because they are afraid to love? Or feel themselves undeserving to be loved.

Why many people are politicking in everything they do: In office, society, even family? Is it because they hate the truth about themselves or incapable to accept themselves truthfully?

Why so many people believe in the power of lying? Are they ashamed of the truth?

Castout 07-22-10 01:02 AM

and

Why do pretty girls think every man like them?! :06:

Why many women value themselves on how many men wanting to have sex with them. Is that not the meaning of being sexy and the purpose of looking sexy? Don't they believe in something more beautiful and valuable in them such as personality and brain or are they just what they look and nothing else's actually more interesting?

Why do corrupt people think everybody else is like themselves? or like them given the opportunity?

Why do people always make excuses instead of facing the truth and dealing with them? Why make life complicated?

Why do people put their self worth in what's not actually themselves? Money, wealth, positions? titles? etc. Is a person his attributes? Hell no.

Why most people think they are better than the beggar sitting on the side of the road? Is that not arrogance and ignorance? Given the opportunity and time I believe a beggar could be made a noble or a better gentlemen than most people.

Why do people cry and feel upset and sad even when they believe the person leaving them is going to meet God and live in heaven? Or is that a selfish cry? Or something else? If Christians really believe the dead would meet God and live in heaven bearing in mind even though men don't even come from heaven in the first place then there's no condolences needed. THROW A PARTY INSTEAD and congratulate the family of the dead. Anything less is hypocrisy. and we all should try to be dead ASAP. If you don't think so then something is wrong...isn't it?!

because wealth equals power in the eyes of the superficial society we belong to

technically that is a superiority complex, and stems from going through the same experience as a child, says Sigmund Freud.
I believe it is something that can only be fixed once the person doing so can see the damage they are causing to the other person

because we are men and everything we do inevitably has our name on it, we attach our ego to everything we do because it shows everyone else who we are. Look at that Eiffel guy, he certainly wasn't a slacker in engineering class.

Lust has more immediate results. This is another bane of the society we belong to. We are in the world of here and now and Love is something that takes time. Today's society doesn't have the patience for love.

We are only human and inside us is the need to forward our own agendas. Sadly we think there will never need to be cooperation.

Ashamed of the truth or knowing the lie will get them something they desire?

EDIT: I said I wouldn't answer all of these, but I really want to put my opinion for this one

I certainly agree. But death gives us the ability to reflect on things, how to culminate what the dead person has achieved and to make us realize that they meant something to us.
Your uncle Phil wasn't much of a talker, and you two never saw eye-to-eye, but he served in vietnam, and he saw things most people would never imagine. If Uncle Phil hadn't died, you would probably go on resenting him. but after he is gone do you learn why he was that way, and that you should appreciate the person while they are still there to hear you and feel your hugs. (sorry, I could really use a hug right now)
In america, after you bury the deceased, you DO throw a party kinda. everyone gets drunk and eats everything, that's a party enough.
but we take pride in the fact that we honor the deceased in such a somber fashion. beccause while they are going to heaven we have lost someone close to us. in the end it is selfish, but so is buying yourself a candy bar on your way home from work.

What is a name anyway?! Even if a man is remembered by all generations of man or even worshiped what would that bring to that man AFTER he died? reputation? I would not need reputation when I'm dead. I would prefer to be remembered by God who could do something about my fate (since death is such a waste of time) than to be even worshiped by ALL men which would be 100% useless to me after I'm gone.

Wouldn't that be more useful when the man's still alive why wait for the person to die before embracing him? I know because I too take most things for granted until I've lost them. We all tend to take things in this life for granted.

Edit: Actually when people cry over death it's usually because of empathic feeling over the dead. Then again empathic crying over the loved dead doesn't go hand in hand with the belief of immediate heaven so something is amiss.

Wealth actually equals to influence and influence is power to men. There's no man that has genuine power what all people have are influence. Yes including head of state. Is the word of the president of United States going
to be obeyed in say North Korea? No.

Power of men is like the power of satan. Mere influence.
The reason why most people want to be powerful(influential) because they want to satisfy their selfishness and ego.

Being genuinely powerful is being able to exercise genuine authority(instead fictitious) over ANY AND EVERY AND ALL individual AND everything despite his or her willingness or consent and over the natural order of things or rule of nature. That's genuine power which is THANKFULLY reserved to God and God alone.

Why do the majority of threads on subsim go weird within one page of the OP?:D

antikristuseke 07-22-10 05:14 AM

Because subsim is populated by perverts who love to take the piss.

Why doesn't my last wisdom tooth fit in my jaw and makes me feel like my face is exploding?

Am I to be blamed? What's so weird about writing what you think, know or believe in. It's called expressing yourself?!

Anyway anything that made us think is good isn't it?

Weird doesn't always mean false...not at all. A popular view doesn't mean it's right. I'm very liberal in writing my opinion on what I know. There's always the ignore button do that on me if you like.

@antikristuseke: and who that pervert who love to take the piss and why can't you express yourself without being rude or insulting?! Or is that just the way you're grown?! Tell me how in any way that I offended you? So we can set thing straight?!
