though, oddly enough, this is not the first case of this happening.

In fact, something similar to this took place at a hospital where my mom worked - directly - on the case.

the child was as any white child, with Anglo features, blond hair and white skin.

the father was furious. but DNA test confirmed with a 99.9% probability that he was in fact the father of the child.

the theory is that white DNA had been in the mother and fathers background many generations back... and was simply resurfacing in the birth of this particular child.

so yes, however rare, this DOES happen.

But as said before its not unheard of.

I remember hearing about a black/white couple (from a decent source! ;) just can't remember it right now) who had a black and white baby. Genetics are a funny thing...

Looking at the picture, the first thing to cross my mind was:
Babies are not born with that much hair, nor with that length hair.

Comparing the size of the baby, with the length of the hair, it appears to be a doll.
