Need a file from Vista X64 system folder
I was having system32dll. exe problems and I'm a bit worry if it's corrupted somehow
The file is system32dll.exe Can anyone help me? My Vista disc is damaged so repairing from CD is a no go. Of course it goes without saying I can only accept the file from forum members that I know or can trust. Thanks |
system32dll.exe?
Sounds like a virus... |

No such file on my PC. :hmmm: |
Oh my mistake it's rundll32.exe
it's under the windows/system32 folder. |
Definetly think it's a bogus file. No such thing as a xxxxdll.exe as far as I know; it's either a .dll (dynamic-link library file) or .exe (executable).
*nvm  |
If this file are corrupt or not...
|
Strike 2.
Still looks like a bogus file. |

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...is-it-running/ Anyway I got it sorted out. It seems that a failed to kick in system restore messed with my system and I had to log in to admin account to realize this. Anyway the warning that windows host run32dll has to be closed is now gone somehow. |
rundll32.exe makes all the difference from system32dll.exe...
|
Oooooops.
Forgot to scan in hidden folders. No wonder I couldn't find it. Glad you're all sorted anyway, Castout. :DL |
Yea I'm so glad it's all sorted out. My problem with slow Vista loading time now has disappeared as well :DL.
