Mouse Stutters?

Anyone else noticed extreme mouse stuttering when looking around in FPS mode?
The game runs glued to 60 FPS (Vsync) so I'm not talking about the game itself stuttering.
I mean if I'm on the conning tower or deck and use the mouse to look around I can't look around smoothly, it stutters like crazy. Feels like its jumping from grid position to another, no smooth movement.
If I enter goggles, UZO, AA gun or deck gun then its fine.
Same in the boat. If walk around the bridge and look around it stutters, if I enter the attack or observation periscope everything is fine.
Also no stutters in external camera mode.

Never actually tried the vanilla game but I don't think any of my mods **** that up.
But can't say for sure so here the list of mods I use:

Yea apparently it is not happening all the time.
Maybe its a hardware related bug?

I'm using a Radeon HD5870 for example.

i get that from the shadow improvement mod

most often things like this are caused by mods that change the games visual effects

I get mouse lag with no mods running and all visual effects turned down as far as possible, even though I have a great frame rate. With multiple mods and all visual effects turned on to as high as they can go, I still have the same mouse lag with good frame rates. I have tried all suggested fixes to no avail. There have been suggestions on the internet that Windows7 does not handle the mouse well. Mouse lag is usually due to memory issues, but I have 4Gb of DDR3 and an additional 1Gb of video memory and have tried running AlacrityPC (for 64bit windows7) with all non essential processes shut down freeing up 3.5Gb of memory but I still have terrible mouse lag.
I have given up on SH5 and have gone back to SH3 and 4.

Yep, exactly the same for me too.

Doesn't seem to make any difference day or night - vanilla or modded.

I'm running:
Radeon HD5850.
i7 860
4 GB RAM
Windows 7 Pro

Iust shudders when panning around with the mouse.

Any ideas?

Same thing here, just build my self a new rig and the game runs good with high fps, but mouselook stutters, not all the time, but very often. I think we have one thing common though, our graphics card! I have also hd 5870. And I didn't notice this kind of stuttering with my previous card, 8800GT (lower fps offcourse and lower graphics, but no mouse stuttering whatsoever). Seems to be a problem related to ATI drivers...

I have a nVidia 9800m GTS so I don't think it is an ATI problem. Does anyone with XP have this problem?

FINALLY the game's stuttering is gone! I'd tried everything else and nothing worked, but this little gem did the trick, thanks for posting it.

I've downloaded D3D9 antilag v1.01 but i'm not sure where to install it

What does "To install, put the d3d9.dll and antilag.cfg to the game
executable directory." mean

Thanks
