Who Stole my Medals?
Hey!
I returned from patrol, gave out medals and specialities and quit game. Today, after starting new patrol, I noticed my new specility guy has no speciality. Further check revealed none of my guys has his medal. Is this a bug or did I do something wrong? |
Are you use SH3 Commander...

I don't know if you did anything wrong or not but I wait to hand out rewards just before leaving for the next patrol.
There must be a reason I got into the habit of doing it this way but I have forgotten what the reason was. I've been at it for so long you see. Maybe I had your your experience sometime in the past and that started me doing it this way. |
Did you do this in SH3 Commander, or in SH3 itself?
|
I have just SH3 and GWX3.0 no other mods
|
Hum...new one on me. I've never had that happen with SH3 itself.

who to blame other then bernard?

I'm sure I read somewhere that buying stuff for your sub and promotions for your crew is bugged if you do it at the end of a patrol.
As Seminole has said. Best to wait until the start of your next patrol to do this stuff. |

It is most common on the commencement of a second patrol. |

Yes, I am also sure I read that you should not upgrade your boat or crew at the return of a patrol because there is a bug in the game where it doesn't remember those things. Upgrade before starting a new patrol and you should be fine.
To fix your current problem, I recommend SHIII Commander. Since you earned the medals, it wouldn't be cheating to fix it like that. Just remember to fix it before starting the patrol. |
I have never lost awards, but I have lost personnel...never to be seen again. Its always my high ranking officers. What I have learned is:
Never leave the high ranking (no sleep needed) officers in the damage control station. For some reason, when I leave him in damage control and return to port, he goes AWOL, and is never seen again. Since I have started moving that officer to quarters prior to docking, he hasnt gone on a bender since. Just use good handcuffs when you restrict him to quarters...lol. Apache |
