Campaign Mission..How to..?
 

..complete a commando drop off on a island? I arrive at the described location..but there is nothing that tells me what to do to complete this mission.

You need to get really close to the star icon on the map and come to a complete stop. Then a message should pop up saying "Launch Boat" and "Delay Launch"

2000y should be fine, sometimes it's more. Make sure you're not moving forward when you drop them off or you will ram them. (delay, back speed, reopen the dialogue, send boat)

I'm not getting anything you guys describe..don't get any info on placing agaents to end the mission. Running OM and RSRD. Do these mods perhaps conflict with the mission?

Id ask you upload your save, but I don't feel like changing my mods, sorry! :shucks:

Try submerging to periscope depth and resurfacing, sometimes that makes the message appear for me.

Running TMO 2.0.
I get within 3000 yards. Then set my engines to all stop. Then I get the 'Launch Boat' popup.
Setting the engines to all stop seems to be the trigger for me.

Thanks again guys..I tried the all stop at the patrol station but nothing changed. I guess I'll try the P depth then re-surface and see if that works..If not then I'll carry the "drop off agents" with me as I continue my patrol :yeah:

Think it's all been answered. What is the date and location of the mission?

Just in case check your messages, most of these missions with RSRD give you a waiting period of 4 to 12 hours or more. It's possible you missed the message to wait, so check your messages and see. If you don't see a message, try waiting 12 hours and try again.

As long as your very close to shore near the drop point and at a dead stop it should work unless you have to wait.

Armstead - I was at the patrol station point right by the shore..(actually tropically scenic, with Sober's New Sand Mod)...but I may have missed a "wait message"..didn't know that was built into mission.
Think the patrol date was October 16, 1942.

Was looking forward to this mission, as it was the first of it's sort that I got in my Campaigns; which I try and sail without too much TC, so most sailing time is fairly "lonely" in the Pacific!;)

Hope that's it. I noticed with most missions in RSRD to drop off people you have to wait. Course there is usually a reason you have to wait, usually some escorts show up at your position why you're waiting.

Also, havent loaded Sobers new sand, hope it didn't mess up any files. Wouldn't think so by the sound of it.

Sobers mod doesn't effect anything at least not in OM/OMEGU/RSRDC..it's a small little mod that adds a "touch" ..IMO
