Why doesn’t the USA have an age limit for political officials?
 

This is just embarrassing how we allow these people to continue to hold important positions in our government. Nothing wrong with continued involvement but when you become a hindrance to improving or advancing our life, hit the road jack!

By that logic we should boot all senators out at 31, all reps at 26, and the president at 36, before they have time to get into politics.

There are minimum age standards in the Constitution. Booting morons, or demented geriatrics is the duty of the electorate.

The people have the power, they chose to poorly execute their power.

Setting an arbitrary age limit does not address a persons fitness for the job.

This also raises the question of who would have the authority to set this arbitrary age limit and at what level will this age limit be?

I really dont think age is an issue here, rather a disconnect.

But I'll bet alot are thinking about Senator Bird whom passed recently.

Try getting a job when your 60 at some company in an important position with great responsibility.

I'm not against the individual in the video, just the fact that we have a huge business to run called America. We need strong leadership in every level to understand some of the REAL problems we have. Iligal imagration taking jobs away from us could be an example, ya think?

That's what elections are for. I thought Ted Kennedy outlived his usefulness years ago, if he ever had any at all. The people of Massachussetts thought differently. They win.

I feel the same way about Republican Orrin Hatch here in Utah. Unfortunately the majority feel differently. They win.

I most be /my second home after U.S/ The age is some way very low and the have not "be dry"... between the ears,so I say this is not only for U.S as well....
