Thanks for all your wonderful monster creations in the world of stop animation.

IMHO he is one of the legends of movie making but sadly not known well enough for his creations globally.

A very many happy returns Ray http://www.psionguild.org/forums/ima...lies/Party.gif

Oh, he is, or better: he was. Since the technique is not used to that ammount anymore, it simply is not that dominant in the audience'S mind. That's all. And many other trick specialists and camera and lights artists came after him, who also contributed their share with their new techniques - until today it all turned digital (with the most prominent exception of Peter Jackson).

Yes, that is one of the great fantasy scenes of all time. I love the 'stadard swordfight' bit where the skeleton swings low and Jason jumps over the sword.

Here is a cool collection of the greats.

Oh yes, that brings back magic from my childhood days! One day I will restart my career as a movie collector, this time for old movies like this. :yeah:

Did you guys know that DVDs with old classical movies that have been watched by people a dozen times over their lifespan - are still amongst the most popular sales in the DVD business?

People do not want always new, totally original stuff only. They want mirrors that throw back echoes from their own life that they remember.

I got a few of Harryhausen films and yes I do buy some oldie films as well, I find them far more entertaining that a lot of modern films today which are just rubbish
