A few minor niggles with Win7
1. My hard drives still spin down and "sleep" even though I turn off the power saving thingy, this is annoying when trying to use one of the lazy bastards and it has to go "oy ... ok I am coming".
2. File transfer between internal hard drives and external ones, there is a pause at the end. In XP it just went swoop! over, but in Win7 it goes just as fast in the beginning, but as I say at the end there is a lenghty pause for approx 5-10 seconds. ANNOYING Anyone? |
Don't use windows 7... :O: Seriously though, I have no idea

About the power-saving; did you just set the "put the computer to sleep" option, or dig deeper?
If you select "change advanced power settings", you'll get more specific options, including a timer for harddrives. Don't kow about the drive, maybe it's trying to verify integrity or something. |
Thanks, arc, didnt see those advanced settings. Hope it stops turning of hard drives now.

Kinda hard to spot, they hide those little links all over the place. Can be tricky to find something, compared to XP.

So far so good!
