59 : 59 - Tennis, not Basketball...

Regarding some attention..
hard and busy :yep:

Neues vom Spocht...
The American won 70:68 in fifth set. Uff-uff! Total match length: 11:05 hours over three days. The fifth set alone lasted for over 7 hours. Final score: 6:4, 3:6, 6:7, 7:6, 70:68 One woman in the audience started to laugh hysterically and could not stop, she was led away and got treatement. The concentration and nerves to successfully maintain their service for so long cannot be applauded and admired enough. Legendary! |
Only one word-amazing!

That must have been one boring game to watch.
But talk about fighting to the very end. :salute: |
I may be accused of being a sceptic but I'm wondering if they had a gentlemans agreement to create a world record and at say....60:60 start playing seriously to win.
I'm probably wrong but there is an element of food for thought in two unseeded players making a surefire way of getting into the history books :hmmm: |
If that gets shown to be true, they both deserve a public spanking of their bare bottoms.

Longest tennis match in history - 11 hours 5 minutes
