But we could stop letting our soldiers risk their lives over this farce. ;)

I say we just build one big minefield around that country, and give everybody who doesn't want to be there 1 month to leave. After that, you are stuck in islamautopia. and they can keep all of their exports (opium and radical islam to themselves.)
No foreign-aid, no contact, no money, no nuttin. Let them live how they want to live, just keep it on their side on the minefield.:up:

If we just pull out, what would be next. I think the Taleban would retake the country in a heartbeat and after that Al Qaida (or however they are spelled in English:-?) will rebuild it's bases there (in case they need to that is, I've heard the new ones in Pakistan are quiet cosy...) .
It would be a huge propaganda victory for the islamists "Hey, look, we've defeated Nato!". That would surely come in handy for them for their recruit campaigns.

On a side note, I think we should forget about making Afghanistan a democracy like in western countries. It isn't going to work.
