Damn, thats just crazy. I'm an eco-loving tree hugger but this is too much. I recycle, dont litter, properly dispose of hazardous materials and hug a tree before I chop it down and still do a loooot more to save the trees than these specimens. Like one of the comment: how is this helping??

And those cotton shirts, you know how much trees were felled to make way for the cotton fields, not to mention carbon print of machinery and production process. And the chemicals used to treat the material. And the watches they are wearing say strip mining!!! And I'm shure there is an SUV parked 100m away. And the cows that had to die for their shoes... ohhh wait, cows are not trees.

As long as they aren't tresspassing on someone's private property, I guess I can' take any real issue with whatever the hell they think they're doing, but if they love the Earth that much and hate humanity's modern societies that much they should try living entirely off the land and dying of disease and malnutrition before they are 30.

The really funny thing is that logging companies have indubitably planted, raised, and provided care for far more trees than these people ever have, even if it's just so they can cut them down and replant later.

How could they live off the land without killing plant life to feed themselves with? I mean, pulling an apple off a tree to them would be like tearing somebodies toes off to us.

These people are nothing more than attention whores in my opinion. Most of them are hypocrites at best because they violate the very values they try to preach unto others to follow. Sort of like how Al Gore is the king of these fruit-loops but lives in a mansion that consumes more energy to light up than 99.9% of the other folks living in his area. Yet he preaches to them about saving energy and using less power to reduce their carbon footprint? :doh:

I think a lot of these weirdo groups like this really aren't about their so called ideology but have instead found a way for tax payers to fund them money for what some liberal idiots seem to think as being a noble endeavor that warrants tax funds be given to them for their so-called "research". Somebody at the top of the clan is getting rich off tax payer money sort of how a pyramid scheme works. For instance, I'll be the president and make this amount of money and I will pay you to support me. You in turn pay the people below you that support you and so on. Even the people at the bottom are making a few bucks for doing absolutely nothing more than supporting this stupid organization. All they have to do is wear a T-shirt and preach to others to follow their organizations way of life - which of course they themselves don't even follow.

This is why America is falling apart. There are too many loopholes that allow this sort of stuff to go on. It's a fleecing of American tax dollars because 90% of these organizations don't produce anything at all. They get paid to tell you what a douche bag you are for driving a V8 or for burning your trash, or in this case, not caring more for trees. They even get tax write-offs to boot! It's brilliant deception at its finest!

Well since the video is entitled Extreme Tree Huggers, it probably does not represent a large group.

In any social/economic/political group, it is easy to find and mock some extremists and equally easy to assume that this extreme group represents the rest.

These people obviousely need a relief valve.

The logging companies in Slovenia have a very eco-friendly system. The combination of selected harvest and reforestation have a interesting result, the forrest quadrature is growing in my country. And we still export a s#t-load of lumber

I like being in the great outdoors alot.

But good lord.. crying over a tree?
